About our company
The Butler family started arranging funerals in Widnes in the early twentieth century and were joined by the Moars some forty years later.
Our premises are furbished to a high standard and it is our current policy to buy new Limousines and to change them regularly, so ensuring that the quality of our vehicles matches that of our service.
Our staff are available to help you 24 hours a day every day of the year; we are as close as your nearest phone. We offer a full range of pre-payment funeral schemes.
In 1964 the family decided to sell Moar & Butler's to another family business, Walter Craven Limited, since when Desmond Craven, his son Derek and now his grandson Charles have run the company with the help of a small, dedicated team.
A second funeral home was opened in Hough Green in 1995.
Our private Chapels of Rest are open every day
Monday - Friday: 8.30am - 8.00pm.
Saturday: 9.00am - 12.00pm.
Sunday and Bank Holidays: 10pm - 2pm.
